People ask me all the time if I miss Alaska. I have to admit that I really don't at the moment. I do miss my husband and my son. Right now in Fairbanks it is 40 below and I really don't miss that cold. People also ask me what that is like. I tell them it is like sticking your head in the freezer and you have that moment when it is so cold you can't breathe. I remember my the first winter in Alaska. I was a young, cute, and sexy Jersey girl. There was no way I was going to wear a huge jacket and warm ugly boots. I froze my ass that year. When I went to start my car that first year my fingertips froze to the ignition it was 45 below that day. No, I don't miss the cold.
I have to admit when I got to North Carolina I was a little disappointed that it was not warmer but by the end of this week it should be in the 50's-60's. I am very excited :)
